At Nickelsen Partners (NP), the primary responsibility of the Dealership Consultant is conducting successful consulting engagements on-site at car dealerships. We expect each consulting engagement to generate:

  • Measurable value for the client
  • Client satisfaction
  • Learning for the consultant specifically and NP more broadly

Successful applicants for the Dealership Consultant position at Nickelsen Partners typically are strong in four distinct areas.

  • Experience. We expect candidates to have a track record of success in the retail car business, typically at the level of general manager or dealer principal.
  • Skills. In addition to broad and deep automotive retailing knowledge, our consultants need to have great listening skills; strong facilitation, presenting, and coaching abilities; and good facility with computers.
  • Attitude. We expect our consultants to be dedicated to doing the right things for our clients, energized about developing new skills, good colleagues, and people we want to spend time with.
  • Aptitude. Learning new tools and approaches, thinking on your feet, and providing sound advice are all part of what we do. We therefore look for both common sense and uncommon intelligence in every one of our consultants.
